Port Said Port had another remarkable and record-breaking year in 2006, following that of 2005.

Not only did it increase it's container throughput to well over 2 million TEU for the first time in its history, but The 101% increase in the container volumes gave it the distinction of achieving the biggest percentage increase in the the World Top Container ports for 2006. As result,it jumped a massive 32 places to rank 35^th in the world.

West Port Said Container Terminal(PSCT) handled 1026023 TEU up 10% from 921066 TEU handled.
In 2006 Port Said has the 1^st rank for the growth ratio and the third rank as for the handling volume teu on the Middle East ports.
It has also the second rank for the growth ratio and the 35^th rank as for the handling volume teu on the world.

In addition to obtaining the 1^st. rank as the best company, PSCCHC managed to achieve the biggest income for Port Said Port Authority.
